BASE is Love Out Loud's volunteer platform that organizes community cause areas, community partner agencies, events, and more. BASE allows volunteers to explore and sign up for volunteer opportunities. To find volunteer opportunities, please follow the steps below.
How to Search for Volunteer Opportunities

1. To access BASE, visit volunteer.loveoutloudws.com and sign in with your email and password. Please visit this page for a tutorial to create a BASE profile.
2. To access the volunteer opportunities, visit the "Opportunities" page in the left-side menu.
3. This page holds all current and on-going volunteer opportunities. The opportunities are organized in the grid-view, however, you can change the organization view to "list," "calendar," or "map" view in the upper right menu.
4. There are various ways to find a volunteer opportunity. One method is to sort through the opportunities using the "Sort by" feature. Select the option you'd like to sort by and BASE will sort all the volunteer opportunities by that option.
5. You can also find a volunteer opportunity by selecting filters. You can select one or multiple filters. Then, click search.
If you select "skill and interest" you can further select one or multiple areas of skills and interest. Then, click search.
6. You can also find a volunteer opportunity by phrase. To search by phrase, enter a phrase in the search box (Ex: Food) and click search. This will bring up all the volunteer opportunities with that phrase.
7. Additionally, you can also search for volunteer opportunities through individual agencies. To access all community agencies, visit the menu on the left side and click "Agencies."
8. If you are looking for a specific agency, you can find the agency through the same searching methods and click on their profile (Ex: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Inc.).
Their profile page will list any current volunteer opportunities.
