BASE is Love Out Loud's volunteer platform that organizes community issue areas, community partner agencies, events, and more. BASE allows volunteers to explore and sign up for volunteer opportunities. To create your volunteer profile, please follow the steps below. 1. To access BASE, visit volunteer.loveoutloudws.com.
2. Click "Volunteer now" or "Sign Up"
3. Begin creating your account by entering your contact information, any additional languages you speak, what church/organization you're affiliated with, how you heard about Love Out Loud/BASE, any personal assessments you've taken, any growth opportunities you've participated in, and create a password.
4. On the second step, you'll find a list of "Passions and Causes." Select any and all that interest you. This step is important, as it allows BASE to provide volunteer opportunities and agencies that align with your passions. Then click continue.
5. On the third step, you will select interests and talents. You may select as many as you find applicable. Then click continue. This step allows BASE to combine your passions and skills to pair you with the best-suited volunteer opportunity.
6. On the fourth step, you will find a list of community agencies that align with your passions and/or skills. You can become a "fan" of these agencies, meaning you will "follow" their upcoming volunteer opportunities and events. You may choose to skip this step and become a fan of agencies later. Then click continue.
7. On the fifth and final step, click continue to complete the registration process. You should receive an email in your inbox shortly after.
8. After creating your volunteer profile, you will have access to BASE where you can explore community agencies, volunteer opportunities, events, and more. You can edit your profile by hovering over your account in the top right corner and clicking "View My Profile" or "Edit My Profile."
