Contextual Growth & Spiritual Formation
Love Out Loud desires for each of us as community members to be involved in service that we are passionate about - AND to be fully aware of the contextual framework that we step into and the crucial spiritual formation that moves us from transaction to transformation. We partner with local ministries & organizations to bring training and growth opportunities on a variety of topics.
The Pathways team looks forward to walking alongside you in finding the best fit for you right here in our community. We believe growth is an important part of every volunteer process. Whether you prefer reading through a book or attending a workshop, here are a few thought-provoking resources that may be helpful in getting started, sparking your thinking, and stirring your heart.

St. Paul Episcopal Church - Faith and Justice Committee
PAUSED - The Faith and Justice Committee works to educate parishioners and the wider community on issues that, in the context of our faith, bring us to closer to a community of justice, advocacy, action and service in the name of Jesus Christ. Our guiding principle is to develop and present educational programs to inform and challenge issues of justice as they appear in Biblical testimony and Church tradition.
Knollwood Baptist Church - Faith in the City
ON SUMMER BREAK - Knollwood Baptist Church offers a series of conversations on the first Tuesday of each month from noon-1pm. These gatherings invite participants to deepen community conversations about complex issues and find ways to work together to address injustices that might seem overwhelming to us as individuals. This year, their focus remains on Equity in Education. The series is free and open to the public.
