The Community Support & Nutrition Program (CSNP), a proud Second Harvest Food Bank partner agency, receives a sizable amount of food donations from local grocery outlets. Our volunteer drivers spread out across the city each day to pick up fresh produce, deli, bakery, and other items from participating area stores.
Duties include:
- Pick up agency badge at our office BEFORE going to partner grocery store location
- Drive your personal mid- to large-sized vehicle to a partner grocery store location
- Collect donated items that have been pulled exclusively for One Step Further by store staff
- Transport collected items back to the CSNP and assist with unloading and weighing of donations
Pick-ups are typically made in the morning (before noon)
- 9am pick up is at the Summerfield Food Lion (4548 US Hwy 220)
- 11am pick up is at the Hicone Rd. Food Lion (4634 Hicone Rd.)
- 12pm pick up is at the Coliseum Blvd. Food Lion (1911 Coliseum Blvd.)
