National Volunteer Week Opportunity: Build with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro
Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
Times: 8:00 am -11:30 am and/or 12 pm-3:30 pm
Thank you for volunteering with Habitat Greensboro! Your build day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a safety briefing and conclude by 3:30, with a lunch break from 11:30-12:00.
(If you sign up for the MORNING SHIFT ONLY: Please arrive at 8:00 am. Your day will conclude by 11:30 am).
(If you sign up for the AFTERNOON SHIFT ONLY: Please arrive at 12 noon and have eaten lunch beforehand. Your day will conclude by 3:30 pm).
Habitat Greensboro's construction staff will teach your task for the day and supervise your team throughout the day. Our goal is for your team to enjoy a great team-building experience.

You will receive an update with your build site location 3-5 days prior to your volunteer day.
Need to know

- You will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of the location where you'll be volunteering.
- Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. (Please do not wear crocs!)
- Please bring a refillable water bottle.
- In case of inclement weather, please call Justin Heyward at 336-944-9238.
FOR ALL-DAY VOLUNTEERS:
- Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to hear the safety briefing and begin learning your task for the day.
- You'll break for lunch from 11:30-12:00, and the work day will conclude by 3:30. Your team leader will let you know if you should bring a bag lunch or if lunch will be provided for you. You may want to bring a folding chair to sit in while eating lunch. FOR MORNING ONLY VOLUNTEERS:
- Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. Your shift will end by 11:30 a.m. FOR AFTERNOON ONLY VOLUNTEERS:
- Please arrive by 12 noon having already eaten. Your shift will end by 3:30 p. m.
