Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Our summer camp provides a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each session serves participants ages 8-13, 13-21, 22+, and volunteers play a key role in making this experience meaningful.
What to Expect:
- Camp runs daily from 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM starting June 8 through July 24
- Volunteers are encouraged to stay until 2:30 PM to assist with cleanup and preparation for the next day
- Activities include arts and crafts, games, and group engagement
- Some weeks may include off-site activities or field trips
Volunteer Roles:
- General Volunteers: Assist with activities, engage with campers, and help create a positive environment
- Medical/First Aid Volunteers: Provide basic care and respond to minor medical needs (must be at least 18 years old)
Important Information:
- Volunteers must be 18 years or age or older
- No prior experience is required for general volunteers
- Campers who need personal care support (toileting, feeding, etc.) will have a dedicated one-on-one caregiver
- Please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to be active and engaged
- A positive attitude and willingness to help are the most important qualities
