We are looking for volunteers to help us serve approximately 100 Spanish speaking families during our Saturday food pantries. Shopping assistants typically remain at a food station and help shoppers know which items they can choose from.
This is also a good opportunity for families with kids who want to learn about community service. You are also welcome to have kids shop at the grocery for some needed items and bring them as a donation to the food pantry. We also have small tasks that kids can do as well during the pantry such as help with the art station, hand out water bottles, or give shopping bags to families as they begin to shop.
While you do not need to speak Spanish, we do appreciate if volunteers can learn a few Spanish phrases to welcome families and give basic information.
