Healing Justice

This second of three sessions will continue to cultivate a theology of compassion rooted in the costly grace of Jesus. Recovering the biblical old & new testament theme of “justice”, will work to form deep awareness of structural/systemic injustice & the historical trauma that communities who have suffered through it carry. Finally, we will unpack biblical examples of communities that organized themselves for faith-rooted confrontation of injustice. We’ll answer questions about how compassion ministries should by all means be not only be aware of, but also be actively seeking ways to creatively overcome & heal from legacies of oppression that impact the day-to-day lives of those they love & serve.
This session is identical to two other sessions titled: Holistic Compassion Ministry: Healing Justice on Tuesday, July 16 and Saturday, July 27
Love Out Loud wants community members to be involved in service that they are passionate about - but to also be fully aware of the contextual framework that we step into.
These trainings are deeply encouraged, open, and free to all.
Holistic Compassion Ministry Trainins are part of our Pathways Growth sessions, designed as part of our Pathways process to assist community members in taking a step back from serving and walk through a process of personal assessment, contextual growth, and engagement before serving in order to plug them into service opportunities that fulfill the center of who they were created to be.
