The Festival for the Homeless is an annual event founded by Kimberly Hinton-Robinson when she discovered that our homeless neighbors felt uncomfortable and unwelcome attending other downtown festivals. Through the generous donations of friends and family, and in partnership with local nonprofits, churches, ministries, and businesses, the Festival for the Homeless provides an annual event where our homeless friends and neighbors can gather together for one day a year to enjoy a festival for them.
What We Do
During the upcoming festival, showers, food, entertainment, and more are being provided, giving the homeless, many families with children, a day to relax and be supported. A day of joy and love in a world that otherwise often feels joyless and loveless for our neighbors without housing.
The 2021 Festival for the Homeless will be at Gateway Commons Park in downtown Winston, September 11, from 2 - 6 pm. For more information, see the flyer in the photo section or register as a volunteer under our volunteer need.
