Christmas for the City

Since 2008, local churches, organizations and members of the arts community have come together to throw a free citywide Christmas party pulling out all the stops: live music performances and interactive arts, original work by local artists, make-your-own toy workshop, Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men, warm drinks and desserts, and lots of other interactive activities for all ages! In years past, 1,200+ volunteers have welcomed over 10,000 guests for an evening of celebration and community at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem.

We are looking forward to engaging the wide network of churches/faith groups, nonprofits, businesses, and individuals to shape (and re-shape!) the experience this year!  

Christmas for the City 2026 will take place on Saturday, Dec 19, 2026, at the Benton Convention Center.
