On retail days, volunteers play a vital role in supporting our mission as a Creative Reuse Center—making art more accessible and diverting materials from the waste stream! At the shop, you will be sorting and pricing donations, assisting with shop upkeep, and preparing for classes. ♻️

No sign ups available? Email Petra at salazar.artshac@gmail.com about what retail day you'd like to come in to help and we'll work to accommodate another volunteer for that day.

Join us in promoting creativity, sustainability, and community at The Art SHAC booth for Art Crush!

ART CRUSH is held on the Third Friday of every month from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM on Trade St. and 6th St. in the heart of the Arts District of Winston-Salem, NC. Every month, established members of the community curate the Visual Artists and Performers of Winston-Salem to provide you with a night of creative expression, exploration and celebration! This event is FREE to the public! Arts District of Winston Salem is a non-profit organization whose mission is that art is a universal language and a source of connection that knows no boundaries. The Arts District of Winston-Salem connects with and amplifies diverse voices and visions, bringing them together at the heart of our city. This event is a sponsored project of Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County funded by ARPA and supported by Forsyth County Board of Commissioners!

Join us at our booth for the Ardmore Art Walk, an event for artists by artists! Come out to support our mission of inspiring creativity, sustainability, and community! 

The Ardmore Art Walk Mission: "It is our goal to foster a sense of community between our local artists as well as our neighborhood residents. Artists must specify their connection to the Ardmore neighborhood in the application process, whether they live here, grew up here, or have a friend who lives here. Artists’ work must also be handmade and designed by the artists present at the show. By offering a wide range of media as well as experience levels among artists, we hope to be able to offer a little something for everyone. Join us for the Ardmore Art Walk in the beautiful Ardmore neighborhood of Winston-Salem for local art, music, and food. Local Winston-Salem musicians and bands will perform in yards around the walkable area of the neighborhood throughout the event, and we also invited local food trucks to join us to add to the enjoyment of the day. Stay tuned on our Instagram and Facebook for details as to who will be selling, performing, and vending this year!"
