Volunteer Attorneys Needed for Free Attorney Hotline Program

The Women's Resource Center is seeking dedicated licensed attorneys to volunteer for our free Attorney Hotline program. This invaluable service helps women in the community make well-informed decisions by providing them with clear knowledge of their legal rights and responsibilities as they navigate life's transitions under North Carolina law.

Program Details:

Service Provided: Answering legal questions in over 20 areas of North Carolina law including Civil, Criminal, Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Domestic/Family, Consumer Rights, Wills/Probate, and more.Appointment Duration: Each session is approximately 15 minutes, conducted over the phone.Volunteer Commitment: We ask for a commitment of roughly 1 hour per month (4 appointments).

Are you a compassionate listener who wants to make a lasting impact in the lives of women? Join the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro’s Fall 2025 cohort of Community Resource Specialists (CRS)—one of our most meaningful and valued volunteer roles.

CRS volunteers provide frontline support to women by offering a listening ear, sharing accurate and up-to-date community resources, and following up with care. The role includes in-person interactions, phone/email communication, and basic computer use—all grounded in empathy and non-judgment.

Volunteer Duties Include:

Greeting and supporting women seeking help at our center

Sharing resource information tailored to each client’s needs

Following up with care through phone or email communication

Attending a required 20-hour, in-person training (spread over several sessions)

Commitment & Schedule: Fall 2025 Training Required
(Training schedule and dates provided after application)Volunteer at least 2 hours per week

Commit to at least one year of service

Must be available during office hours:
Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
